Variegated plants often reproduce babies with no green at first. It sometimes takes a long time for green to show up. So even though the babies are growing fast, until they start to turn green, it is best to allow them to remain attached to the adult leaf. Their nourishment or chlorophyll comes from the green adult leaf. Yes, Donnas hybrids are strong. Once you have had the plant for a while, and have extra leaves, would be a better time to experiment with cutting off babies that have no green to see what happens. If you do succeed in growing out a plant from a white baby, the variegation will even out. the whiteness of how it starts makes no diff in the long run, thanx for the pic. Joanne
