As the resident plant whore, I will take a rhipsalis if you don't have to go to any trouble acquiring them. I just read where they like part-shade, so they should survive over Winter in my "redneck" greenhouse (lighted, dirt basement).

Hope you have been doing well. I hear you & Alice are treating us all to dinner at Top 'o the River after the swap. Ha! Ha! ;-D Or maybe you're going to toss us all IN the river. Which was it?!

Definitely toss, especially if it stays this hot. And I KNEW you'd be the one interested. This guy has some really unusual ones, too, like houlletiana, which I no doubt spelled wrong.

I don't really need any more plants that have to be hauled indoors in winter, but the Rhipsalis houlletina is very tempting-I just Googled it. I love the look of the little yellow flowers along the edges. If you can get me one I will bring you something nice for it. I think it should do well on the top of the file cabinet in my office.

The Eucomis bulbs you gave me at the spring swap are doing well. One of them has put out variegated (white/green) foliage. Once it multiplies I will share it at the swap. I will be starting the Eucomis seeds this weekend.

For the past two years I tried, without any success, to germinate Thermopsis caroliniana seeds using winter sowing as recommended everywhere online. Last week I planted about 30 seeds (that I got in 2012) in a peat pot and set in out in the 90 deg. heat on my back porch. Three days later nearly every seed germinated!
