We are replacing the floors (to darker wood) and are debating changing out the kitchen cabinets. We are already on board with replacing granite with white carrara marble, new appliances (stainless, adding double ovens and relocating built in microwave), white subway tile back splash, and remove the "hood" (it is really just a light- why?). One option is to paint them white the other option is to completely remove. Thoughts? Also, since we have to add exhaust, anyone have ideas how to best add exhaust to an island cook top? Or should we relocate cook top, if so where else? My first thought was switch the sink and the cook top, but a gas cook top directly under a window seems strange.
