Help with Phal

Hello everyone!

I made the mistake of purchasing two orchids on ebay over the weekend. One of which arrived in perfect health. But the other phalaenopsis arrived in a condition far worse than described in both the written info and pictures provided. I know it's always a risk buying orchids on ebay but in the provided pictures, the orchid looked in excellent health and at the time had really lovely blooms so I'm saddened that the seller was so misleading. This plant was by no means a bargain. However, it arrived with a yellowing leaf and a single green root, the rest being brown, mushy, or stringy. As soon as it arrived, I removed it from the pot and have since trimmed away as much as the mush as I could, and then repotted it in a bark mix. I'm hopeful the plant is salvageable. I'm fairly new to orchids and have not had experience with a plant in this condition before. Any advice on how to help this plant would be very much appreciated!

I've attached some pictures of the plant in the condition it arrived in for reference.
