Great question! I'm assuming since you're asking about size that this isn't a custom cabinet. If it is custom, that's something that you and your cabinet maker can work out together; the options are endless! If you're not doing custom, typically you would use a 30" cabinet for a 30" sink. Something to keep in mind: you will need shorter doors for under the sink (often, you can get these from a 30" wall cabinet, as they vary in height) because the farm sink goes lower than the average drop in (see below). You will also need filler to support and fill in the gap above the doors. This picture does a pretty good job at showing how everything fits together.

Usually a sink will give you dimensions required for the cabinetry. if 30" is the inside dimension of the sink, you will need a cabinet that is a couple inches or more larger than the sink, depending on the style and what the manufacturer recommends.

Agreed- always go with a specified size (if there is one). and I was assuming that 30" was the outside of the sink, so make sure that it isn't the inside dimension.
