I bought a set of Kirkland cookware at Costco just to have something to use until I found better quality. Frankly it has been great. The price was under $200 (about 169 I think) for 13 pieces which included the lids. I did buy a small 1 1/2 qt. saucepan at Homegoods to round out the collection. Be sure to carry a magnet with you when you shop. We also invested in a small All Clad non stick skillet for things like eggs and have found it worthwhile - it never scratches like the inexpensive ones do. .

Someone on the other forums told me that Kirkland's brand is made by Tramontina. I'll check it out, thanks.

It says Kirkland Signature, Made in Thailand. Whoever makes it, for the price you can't beat it.

The little pot I bought from from Home good is Schulte-Ufer. Made in China but excellent quality for the price.

I hadn't seen this thread until it was revived here.... I searched and found that you have already purchased a bunch. I'd also recommend the Zwilling Sensation line (not NS) -- it's a stepup from the Energy line and made in Belgium by their Demeyere affiliate (almost identical to the Demeyere Industry line). Thank you, tjstogner and Gooster, for the recs. As you discovered, Gooster, I have purchased cookware. I bought 2 Zwilling non-stick frypans (8" and 10"), 1 Cuisinart non-stick frypan (12" with a "helper" handle) and a starter set of Tramontina tri-ply Clad. I really like the Zwilling and Tramontina pans. The Cuisinart is decent but since it only has a SS base, I don't think it's as good as the all-clad type pans.

I'm planning to add a wok pan to my collection, probably a Calphalon tri-ply. I know it's won't cook like a traditional wok but it will likely work better than my electric wok, which doesn't get hot enough even when set on high.
