Frontgate Umbrellas

Thanks! Do you have one? Are you happy with it?

I spent $1500 on the last umbrella which I am barely going to get 4 years out of, so I wMt to make sure if I spend another $1000 it will be worth it.

A neighbor has one and hasn't complained about it. ISTM that protecting them from getting whipped around by the wind, and especially collapsing them when not in use, goes a long way in getting a good service life from them.

I am beyond anal about putting them down when not I use. It's actually the pulley rope that is pitted that is the problem. It looks like the mechanics inside the umbrella chewed it up. The umbrella itself is fine and so are the tines. It's not because of abuse that this is about to fail. It's more about design I believe. Even the crank is nice solid metal construction that is In good working order. Thanks for the recommendation. I have checked it out and will consider ordering.

It'd be great to hear what you ended up choosing and how you like it after you've lived with it for a while. I'm surprised the Frontgate option isn't as expensive as I thought it would be.
