Kennebec potato harvest

last modified: 11 years ago

We averaged a little over one pound per foot of row. A little more that six times the seed we planted. We have bagged and donated about 2,500# to various agencies (and volunteers) and sold 500# at the old OKC Farmers Market to cover next years seed cost. Below are some of the volunteers.

We will be canning some as precut french fries soon. Some local folks will be there to learn how to pressure can.

Over all, great potato season. Planting PEPH peas and field (Aztec white) corn next week.
