My neighbor dug up a pup from his banana plant for me. Unfortunately he broke it off, so he gave me the pup, which actually still has 4 big roots, that look like tap roots to me. He also gave me the clump of soil it came from. He looked at it, and said it would grow. So I just planted that in the ground right, and watered it, so we'll see next year, or maybe I'll get lucky and see something this season. But as for the pup, I planted that in a pot, and watered it. I put it in the sun, which I shouldn't have, because all the leaves died. I moved it to the shade, and cut off all the dead leaves. It still has the new growth in the middle, that looks pretty ok. Do you think it will be OK and grow? Should I fertilize? I don't want to over do it and kill it. Sorry it's sideways, not sure if/how to flip it :)
