How to use 9" base cabinets

I think you are restricted in many lines to a full height door with no drawers, or a pullout of some sort.

There are some pullout options for 9" cabinets from Rev-a-shelf that you might like.

As a last resort. Full height pull out or trays. I can't remember the last time I was unable to avoid using one.

Check out Rev-A-Shelf for pullouts: https://www.rev-a-shelf.com/rev-pages/product-listing.aspx?CategoryFilterID=47&SubcategoryFilterID=53

Most are available in 3", 6", and 9" widths.

You may also be able to get a full-height cabinet with a shelf on top.

Spice rack, slot dividers for trays, towel racks?

I used one for my step-stool. I loved having a dedicated cabinet for it.

I used one for storage for cutting boards.

Add that9" to the cabinet next to it for much better storage.

LWO, that doesn't always work out! I have one between my sink and super susan - adding to the sink cab would not have improved storage.

But I find 9" to be just right for cookie sheets, pizza stones, and cutting boards. Mine has a drawer on top (custom cabinets), but it's of limited usefulness. Better, I think, would be a full height door, with a shelf on top for long skinny things like aluminum foil or rolling pins.

Annkh, I have the exact setup with a 9" tray between sink base and super Susan. Works perfect for my cutting boards and cookie sheets. Agree the small drawer was pretty useless, until I decided my rolled up drying mat fit just right.

You learn something new here with regularity. My 9" cabinet is between the lazy (not super) susan & the frig. It's full height & I have the shelf. I'm out of town. I can hardly wait to get home & move aluminum foil, etc & my rolling pin to that shelf.

    Thanks AnnKH!

How many 9" base cabinets? Are there any regular base cabinets?

I have one in the space between the dishwasher and a wall. It holds cookie sheets, cutting boards, and a pizza stone. The drawer on top is very small, but this is also the coffee area, so it holds the coffee scoop, filters, and some boxes of tea bags. I like having it all in one place!

I used the one in my last house to house my wok and the slightly deeper drawer above to house all the BBQ tools. This was 8", same idea.

We use ours for cookie sheets and large cutting boards. Long BBQ utensils go on the upper shelf and drawer. If I had to do it again I probably wouldn't get the drawer.
