mini -rose ID?

I picked up a super cute red mini-rose on Valentine's Day this year at the grocery store. The rose was beautiful and fragrant, but I didn't expect it to live -what I really wanted the cute pot it came in/with. So I took it home to enjoy its blooms until it's inevitable demise. It did surprisingly well but dried out fast so I repotted it - waited for it to die. It rebloomed. I took it outside in the front porch so it could die in peace.. And it bloomed again. Then it started to struggle in the heat so I planted it and waited for.. You know.. Buut NOPE, It bloomed AGAIN. It's a blooming machine! And in our wretched heat even!
It's so fragrant! I a light, maybe fruity scent. I am just curious as to what kind it might be specifically and what it's needs and expected size are. I only have a few roses, and all are different types so I am always a Newb!

Most of the minis sold in supermarkets are not registered. Or if they are and didn't come with a tag, it's almost impossible to ID them.

It is a miniature and probably produce by either Poulsen roses or Kordana roses. Those are the two biggest growers of these supermarket minis. they both have web sites you can look at to try and ID it but as Buford said, it isn't easy. The problem is that they sell these to the stores mostly by color and not by name. The grocer will order a gross of red, a gross of pink, etc. and the supplier sends them out. They will often substitute several different reds for the same name so it's very hard to decipher which one you have. Unless the rose is stripped or very distinct in some way you may never find a match. Enjoy your rose and don't worry about it. I usually just give them my own name, lol!

As for size it's difficult to say because growing conditions can affect eventual size but most minis get between 2 and 3 feet high and wide. That's not to say it won't get bigger but that's an average size. The miniature designation only applies to the size of the blooms and leaves and NOT the size of the plant. There are minis that can get 12 feet tall and some that never get over a foot high. It just depends on the variety and the conditions.
