Happy with Afyon Marble?

Hi! We were about to order a large slab of Afyon Marble for our island but have been recently told it's more "fragile" than other marbles and often called "sugar" marble. We love the look, but don't want to regret the purchase with such a high price tag. Have your clients been happy with the durability of this marble? Thank you so much for any advice.

I think my clients are happy with the Afyon and it is a real family kitchen so the island gets a lot of use. However any marble is porous and needs to be thoroughly sealed at intervals. Marble is definitely not an impervious surface. You need to appreciate patina if you are going to be happy with marble!

What about for a girls bathroom vanity? I spoke to 1 person and they said it won't work but another said it is fine. I love the look! Thank you

Our stone installer did it, but I believe it is brushed on.
