We actually did not build the house, but we worked with the builder to design the automation system that controls the home. However, we can say that the bowling alley is part of a larger game room area that was intended to provide entertainment for both guests and family. Since the house is located in the fairly remote Rocky Mountains, creating an all-inclusive entertainment hub for guests was a primary goal for the homeowner. It was designed to resemble a mine shaft and compliment the rest of the home. There was also an interest in bowling as a hobby by one of the younger members of the family, prompting them to add it to their game room design.
