Kitchen Counter Tops

I am considering using Pewter Counter Tops in our new kitchen. And the designer has heard that zinc & pewter becoming a trend. But to this point has not used that metal. I would love to know if anyone has them and if they are happy with them. Thanks in advance for your time it would be of so much help in our decision.

I know absolutely nothing about Pewter counter tops, but Houzz had an interesting article on zinc ones not too long ago:
