I feel better, thank you. I didn't think it was a water issue because the leaves weren't drooping and the soil wasn't overly dry, so I had no clue what else it could be and started to worry. It hasn't dropped any flowers or buds though, so I wasn't too worried yet.

Perhaps it's dropping from the weight? If the leaves look good, and is making flowers, it sounds healthy to me, but I just picked up my first plumeria and realize I know nothing.

Sometimes it can be from the weight, but 9 times out of 10 it needs water!! The leaves do not have to droop to show that it is thirsty. The inflo/flowers are the first place that it shows. They like and require A LOT of water during the hot growing season to look their best...especially if in pots.

I'm not sure what to think. I don't think it's not enough water, I water a lot. Plus I rotated the plant thinking of it's going to droop at least I want to be able to see the flowers, and now this morning it's back to drooping away from where I can see. The stalk is very firm, just leaning. More flowers opened yesterday though, happy about that.

But the flowers are still there. One good thing about the droop is I got to smell the flowers, sort of like coconut oil.

I guess it just wants to be like this.

I just acquired my first plants 3 days ago, so I'm no pro, but I'm not sure if I'd be too concered. I'd certainly make sure not to over water or over fertilize, as too much can be worse than too little.

I think this is the way it grows actually, and I was freaking out for no reason. When the buds were getting larger I started noticing them growing sideways, but now that the inflo stalk bent the flowers point straight up, so I think maybe they grew sideways in preparation for the stalk bending.

Is this a Confetti or Barbados Showgirl? I can't really tell from the pics. Reason I'm asking is because we have a large confetti and the inflo sometimes does this same thing

It's a noid. The tag at home depot didn't even say what kind of plant it was, just tropical shrub. I was able to identify that it was a plumeria because I know what they look like, but there's no way to determine the cultivar unfortunately. Plus the color of the flowers is changing. At first they were tri-colored when the buds opened, pink on the furthest edge of the petal, then white, and then yellow in the center. Now when they first open the petal is mostly pink with yellow in the center, and fade to tri-color.

I was able to find two that are somewhat similar to mine. They are both Moragnes, Bill Moragne has flowers that are similar, and Katie Moragne looks like the inflo bends like mine does. I wish typing plumeria worked like that and I wish I could get my phone to capture the color of the flowers better, the pink is brighter in person.
