The MO Park Service sponsors a bike ride across the state on the Katy Rail Trail every year the week after Father's Day. We rode it in 2008, but this is the first time since then it has been on Tim's week off, so we decided to ride it again. Since our fur baby is very suspicious, we have to be sneaky with out packing. I think she figured it out.

Saturday we left for St Charles and passed some of my favorite landmarks along the way.

Bright and early Sunday we caught the shuttle to Clinton on the west end of the trail.

Once there, we gathered our tent and bags, set up our little corner of the field, and went for a short ride.

We met a lady named Bonnie who is a Master Naturalist in MO. Over the week she answered a lot of questions for us. A good night's rest and we were ready to start our adventure. Monday was Clinton to Sedalia, 40 miles.
