My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

Are we lab rats?

I do love this site. My head is full of great ideas, and my planning is becoming much more detailed -

BUT, I sometimes feel like a lab rat.

Wonderful new products such as these planters are put on the site without the poster adding source much less price range.

Are they using us to see if there is market interest before bringing a product to market?

    I second the lab rat question and sometimes resent houzz not putting the information on there. I can understand why a professional designer wouldn't give information but don't understand why we can't have info on the products you put on your site.

      I agree with the statement ......but I'm pretty handy and and a lot of this pictures just give me the ideal and then I get to do my favorite part which is to create. I love seeing if I can make things work and sometimes it involves lots of research

      I think it is fair. We can get free help on houzz and they can get free feedback. Just as long as advertising doesn't get out of hand.
