Also called cornflower, it is an annual, but self sows easily; so if you let the seed mature it will almost certainly come back for you. My mother had this as volunteers in one corner of her farm garden for years. BTW it came to you as seed hitchhiking on the goldenrod in the first place. You can also buy seed to augment your current stand just about anywhere.

You'll have enough seed for it to reseed readily and enough for you to save some and trade. They are one of the early bloomers in the spring. I love them. There's blue, pink and white. Also some that are white with a pink or blue center. That's a nice surprise for you!
