March 28, 2015: Ordered 7 Frost Proof Gardenia
March 30, 2015: Items shipped
April 2, 2015: Plants arrived while I was already in the garden so I immediately opened the boxes and followed their directions (as well as followed common practice for planting dry root plants). I immediately noted that 2 of the 7 didn't look so good.
April 23, 2015: I emailed them: "Thank you for the gardenias. Two of the plants arrived with some yellowing of the leaves. Those 2 plants have gone on to die while the rest of the order are thriving well despite all being planted in the same bed with the same conditions."
They responded: "Thank you for contacting us. Our records indicate you have not quite had your plants in the ground for a long enough period of time for them to pass through transplant shock. We advise to give them until the end of June to leaf out and wake up out of dormancy."
July 3, 2015: I emailed them: "I have waited past the end of June to allow the plants to leaf out and wake up out of dormancy. The plants are still dead (leaves all fell off and stems are dried out and brittle). Will you please replace them or refund me money asap."
They responded: "We are very sorry to hear about your plants possibly perishing. We intend to help you out by replacing those for you. Before doing so we will require some information. Please visit our website and fill out the replacement application located at the bottom of the webpage under Customer Service, in which will be titled Replacement Application. From there you will click the Download button, and very shortly after will pop up the Replacement Application. Once you have filled in the application with all the needed information we are asking for, please mail it into us so that we can process it for you. Thank you very much for your business"

Here is a link to their onerous and expensive return policy tytyga.com/returns.asp
Here are some highlights:
-must download, fill out, and mail back to them a 3 page application (tytyga.com/v/replacement…) along with the original order form.
-It can take up to 30 business days to receive your replacement notification postcard response from Ty Ty Nursery.
-Upon receiving your replacement approval notification postcard the customer will need to send the plant material requested for replacement along with a check for 25% of the value of the plants being replaced (minimum $20.00) to Ty Ty Nursery. I have to send back the dead plant at my expense? I also have to pay $20 shipping to get the new plants?

Rather going through the replacement application process and expense, it will be cheaper and easier for me to find another vendor to replace my plants. The time I saved was used in part to write this honest review of my experience.
