Hi everyone, Happy 4th. - we're having a gentle summer rain.
Photinia serratafolia 'Green Giant' at lease that's what the lable said. Pic taken recently in the Asian Valley of Nat'l Arboretum. I don't see any sign that this plant was shaped or pruned. Foliage is without defect, almost like plastic. Here's my questions.
Is this plant available in the trade?
Do the flowers stink?
Does it have any disease or insect problems?
This is an Asian plant that makes berries, right? Will they start coming up in the understory, roadbanks, waste places? That's a dealbreaker for me.
How does 'Green Giant' differ from the species?
