How to improve pollination rates?

I have a Poke Milkweed in my yard that is blooming for the first time, since a tree was cut down and there is more sunlight. I want to save seeds, but I'm worried it might not get pollinated. Is there a way to shake or rub the blossoms together to cross pollinate them, or should I just let nature take it's course? Any thoughts?
