Hard to say why and I can understand your queary. Typically "Pink" would be the most prevalent color from seed. Would depend on who produced them and where. Possibly the color of the roots stocks flower was not known and they wanted to grafted on a strong growing Pink bloomer that was very profuse in flower when it blooms.

Or, they had a lot to get rid of and all that was available was this Pink and they acquired them really cheap?

Are the pinks single flowers? I wonder if perhaps the grafted seedlings or scions were double or triple flowers. That could explain why.

Nope all singles. I just checked at Lowes and HD and they are all coming from Costa Farms. It's like they taught a class on how to graft and had a bunch that they needed to get rid of! The interesting thing also is that the bases are really truly NOT interesting at all if you know what I mean. I love the weird shaped bases as much as the flowers but not 1 out of about 40 appealed to me, they were just kind of a bulbous base. I was there when HD got their shipment in. They were still wrapped in plastic on the rolling cart so I know that no one came in before me and got anything special. I would have jumped at doubles, triples or unusual colors.

Msrohud, I am with you 100%, why grafting single regular pink? Most of the seedlings normally pink anyway. Costa Farms is the one who ships to HD, Walmarts and Lowes.

Grafting of Adeniums is by far much simpler than those growers working at producing new colors of hybrids.

The majority of grafts, whether it is from on species to another has greater percentages of taking, than hundreds of seeds producing a new hybrid.

Grafting is a matter of learning the technique, tools required and practice. Not true with Hand Pollinating to produce new blooms.

Me too, Dain! I still say she is robust and proud! And yet she has those enchanting little ticklers at the points of her petals...mystique. Love it!

Beautiful, Dain. The nice thing with "Pink's" is that they are all different in some way or another. Yours intrigues me with it's soft round edges to the petals w the very crisp dark edges of the petals fading into the white. A very pristine bloom.
I to, have a few pinks and I enjoy them a lot.
Kadie has some pretty impressive pinks also. So do others and I am just not remembering them.
All in all. We appreciate each bloom and plant for it's subtle differences and the shape of their caudex's.

I'd say it's an excellent beginner's specimen. I actually pruned this plant today. First prune I've ever done. I'll share some pictures in a new thread.
