I realize it is a completely different climate, but I grew CWS the first year it was introduced. I had to order it from Canada and it was expensive for the time. The only thing it had going for it was the occasional, nearly perfect bloom. Otherwise it wasn't a very good plant (even budded) and hated my soil, water, light intensities (even in filtered light) and temperatures. Good luck finding it. I hope it performs as well as you hope.

I have been in love with this rose for years! However, I've had it twice now and it is a terrible rose. It has no vigor what so ever and is very disease prone. Both time I bought it it died over winter, and that was before the last two polar ones, so I would say it is NOT hardy. The blooms are exquisite but I won't ever try it again. I think most nurseries quite carrying it because it's just not a good rose.

I've been looking for this rose too! If anyone could root a cutting of it for me I'd gladly pay. Does anyone in America currently have this rose? I would ask the breeder directly, but I'm fairly certain they live in Canada, and shipping plant material from there is more of a task.
