Hello, Pilar. I would vote for giving it more time, maintaining your fertilizer regimen and keeping the soil as evenly moist as you can. Placing the pot where it gets bright shade or a few hours of morning sun and where it does not get too much wind would also be fine but remember we are in the middle of the summer months so do not go overboard watering or feeding it too much unless there is a need.

If you can provide your location & zone, a description of the location where you have the pot now (sunlight, etc), how much you fertilize and with what, that may help others add more specific comments.

Thanks Luis, I'm in West Coast Florida just south of Tampa - Zone 8-9 I think. I have it on my lanai where it gets a few hours of morning sun and just replanted it into a larger pot. I haven't been fertilizing it - that's a good question, what to give it.

Liquid as in like Miracle Grow?

Be careful with miracle grow. If the nitrogen is too high, it may burn your hydrangea up. Been there done that. One of my little hydrangeas is just now starting to leaf back out good from fertilizer burn. I did a knockout rose the same way with water soluble all purpose miracle grow but it just dropped the burned leaves, then grew in leaps and bounds like knockouts do. Young hydrangeas are tender so be careful. We live and learn. I stay away from water solubles now except for my Grey Owl Junipers whom seem to love it. =]

I am a big fan of Miracle Grow Shake n Feed for flowers and Osmocote. They are slow release so no fertilizer burn.

Slow release sounds good, I usually 'feed' my mature plants with compost and various minerals but since this one is still in a pot I'll give it some Osmocote - shouldn't hurt! Thanks

Luis, I like the sound of liquid Seaweed, I'll have to look for that too! This little plant is going to be OK yet!
