I just bought mine this year too. It's not any bigger than yours ...yours looks really good. I understand that it's a sport of 'Dream Weaver' and supposedly a better grower than 'Great Expectations'. Hope someone will post a picture of a more mature one than mine. Thanks for starting this thread. I'm looking forward to reading people's experience with this one.

I have tried growing this hosta for the last two years. It never seems to make it through the winter. My dream weaver does very well and with beach boy being a sport I assumed it would also do well. Not the case. On the fence if I will try this one again.

From what I remember I got mine in 2013.
It's slow but I'm hopeful of a leap next year.

I purchased mine in 2013. Kept it in a pot over winter. It didn't make it. My conclusion was that it didn't make it because it was in a smaller pot (in the garage) and had dried out. I see that Michelle had the same experience---that of it not surviving over the winter. I find that interesting. We are also in a similar zone.

Beach Boy is said to be a better grower than GE. Who wouldn't want a GE look alike that has a better growth rate? I am wondering whether that, in fact, has any truth to it. I guess time will tell.

Wow, both beautiful photos. What kind of lighting do you guys have yours in?

Shade untill late afternoon. This of course is Wales in the UK where sunshine is rare and when we do get it nowhere as strong as yours, I suspect.

I'm happy to say I am getting new growth on mine. There are 2 little sprouts at the bottom. I'm not sure what to call them. Are these new eyes forming?

Any update on Beach Boy? I just got quart pot size, can not decide whether I should plant in the ground or into bigger pots to overwinter?
