C. chinense.... Not ripe.... Continue to let ripen....

Hey thanks. I did notice it looked like a habenero and i have some orange habaneros that have been ripening for a couple weeks now but with them being a lighter green and taking longer to ripen, I wasn't sure.

Good luck, post a photo back when you get some ripe ones so we all can see what it is.

Josh (Greenman), I haven't seen you around much lately.

I have a Caribbean Red plant and those peppers look just like it before they are ripe. If they turn red, taste them next to a Habanero. If they're hotter, you know they're Caribbeans :)

Well, they're finally ripening. Here are two next to one of the orange ones that I have. They are more reddish orange than red. Think I'm going to pass on tasting these two, they are slightly spongey.

Still thinking they are a Habanero of some type. Maybe Red Habanero. I have a Red Hab growing but not close to ripening yet.

Spongy doesn't mean bad. Cut them open and see if they are moldy on the inside. If not they are still good, just sat on the plant a little too long.
