I would suggest something in the way of furniture. I would add a warm rattan stool to your bar. That would give you a different color than the black and warm it up and give texture. We got our bar stools at Target online. They are about $130 each. Also I would then add a rattan shade to your window which would warm it up again. You could go with a neutral beige gray such as Pismo Dunes from Benjamin Moore. If you have an area where you could add fabric something with a geometric graphice design in browns and creams would go nicely with that. Otherwise you could go with charcoals and whites if you went with the cooler tones of paint. I really think adding the rattan/banana leaf bar stools is an important step toward warming up your room.

Sure, we have! WE have 2 children and when they grew a little they started to ask a pet. Indeed, I was afraid of a pet in my house because after 2 children you have to take a lot of care. But a pet is like a 3 child. We started from fishes. But they die too often. They asked a dog, but it is a real responsibility and I can't walk with it 10 times a day, So we stiped on chinchillas. They are really cute and small, very active, and friendly. Yes, I agree. Would love to see an update, Kristin. Don't know what you decided to do, but, although It may be too late, I'd throw in my 2 cents. I'd agree with the houzzers who suggested moving the corner shelf and the one by the door someplace else. Then I would replace the bold geometric rug with something like the attached which would pick up your paint color and the brick color in the fireplace. You could add the brick color on the sofa with pillows. Perhaps the navy and or green as well. I think that looks like navy on the ottoman? the suggestions for your TV wall were all good! Would love to see what you did!

The bush isn't dead. The shock of planting just did in the blooms. Cut the blooms off and make sure you water enough, but don't over do it. Are you a coffee drinker? You can add your coffee grounds to the soil beneath the mulch, just dump them on the soil. Use used coffee grounds as soon as the pot is empty. If you try to store them all the good "stuff" breaks down. You can also add banana peels! Get yourself some fertilizer that dissolves in water. You want a low nitrogen like 5-10-10 or something similar. Follow the package directions.
