Unusual Nurseries in Lancaster area?

We're going to be in town next week and wondered if there were any special nurseries in the area. Not looking for the typical things but maybe a place that does a great job with unusual houseplants. We're in SC so the types of things that we'd be looking for cactus/succulents, adeniums, orchids....along those lines. Thanks for any insight you can offer since one should always stop at a great nursery if you're nearby!

I agree about Esbenshade's. I live in Lancaster County and there are lots of
nurseries but most of them sell perennials and annuals, garden supplies, etc., but Esbenshade's does have different houseplants that you don't find anywhere else.

Esbenshades nursery in Lititz is a decent place for houseplants. You're sort of coming at the wrong season though for houseplants here. The best and biggest varieties are usually in late fall/early winter.

Thanks for the info. Always on the lookout for something unusual and nice unusual nurseries too.

Ken's Gardens usually has a really great succulent selection. One is located just down the road from Kitchen Kettle.

Yes, Ken's Gardens does have a good selection of house plants, but not a very big selection of perennials.

Which is why I recommended it to someone asking for houseplants.

Yes but Ken's has a very nice selection of shrubs. I go there for that.
