Boring gold bathroom

I love my bathroom - size and layout is amazing. I need help making this look more like a spa retreat or giving it warmth on a low budget. Any ideas?

Using a Ralph Lauren textured paint in the specialty finish called polished patina. It will give a beautiful texture and "spa" feel to the walls. Using a deeper color would make the other lovely aspects to your bathroom look "new" and current and provide contrast.. It is also much less expensive and easier to maintain than wall paper in a bathroom.I agree with the use of roman shades stated above.

Please look at the color palette in the attached link. This example of a spa bathroom has a tub similar to the color of yours.

I would paint the room in a warmer color.

Something else that I have seen done that looks nice is using a textures wallpaper on the wall. It is a good way to make it look more "spa like" without breaking the bank.

The best way to make it look more spa like would be to add tile to the wall, but unless you can install tile yourself, that can get very expensive.

And do you notice the great roman shades in the above picture? That was the first thing I thought about when I looked at your wonderful bathroom. You have nothing soft to bring warmth and comfort. Could you also put down a large, washable area rug? And maybe a piece of furniture under the TV to make it feel more finished? I don't have any specific ideas there, because I have never had a bathroom that could have a TV.

I would also replace that chandler. That is more of a "Glamour" bathroom look than a "spa" bathroom look

Wow that's the biggest bathroom I've ever seen!! You definitely should add a valance on the window. I'd put a chest of drawers or a piece of furniture on the wall under the tv, something to store towels and extra toiletries. All that empty space in the middle of the room is kind of unsettling, can you add a bench or or upholstered type of lounge chair?? It would have to be custom to look right but I'm sure the professionals would have some ideas.

New light fixtures, a chest under the tv (and some cord management), and frame or replace mirrors with some smaller.

I would also maybe replace all of the gold shaded hardware in the room. That is not very expensive, and gold definitely does not read "Spa"
