Stain resistent?

How stain resistant is this fabric? Is it possible to scotch guard it or something to protect agains children? :)

One more question...are there toxicity issues related to Scotchguard? Is there a safe alternative that would work with this fabric? Many thanks!

The upholstery material is faux leather, which would typically be moisture and stain resistant. However, no upholstered piece is impervious to stains. Thank you for your question and for shopping with Houzz!
