I have had a white kitchen for years and love the fact that I can keep it clean so easily. I see the dirt on my cabinets and wipe them down right away rather than not seeing it on a dark background. I have a light grey countertop and backsplash, white cabinets and light oak floors with stainless steel appliances. My husband and all three of my grown children are great cooks so the kitchen gets a lot of use and it has held up very well over the years.

My cabinets are painted wood with a high gloss paint finish........back when they did it years ago, they called it an "auto finish". These days there are many more options available. As long as you have a nice gloss finish it is easy to wipe them down. My toe kick is also white. When we clean the floors we wipe down the toe kick too...
