Nicholas, both nice plants and leaf loss more than likely due to changes in environment.

The second one with the deep fuschia flowers w dark center is outstanding. Just beautiful. This plant, I am assuming was grafted with the dark flower and the pink one is growing from below the graft. The branch from lower w pink flower has been left for quite some time. Normally this lower branch would be pruned off to allow all the energy to go into the grafted portion. Completely an individual's choice. Unless of course you prefer the dark bloom, then you would not want to watch that the pink portion does not take over, which can sometimes happen.

Nicholas love the bloom on your second plant. It looks like the first plant is producing some blooms now in addition to new leaves. As for hand pollinating, I've seen professionals take pollen from a flower from a single plant and use it to pollinate a different flower on the same plant. Youtube is a terrific resource for hand pollinating Adeniums. Keep us posted on the progress.

Thank you all for the lovely comments. As for the leaf loss I suspected it was a type of shock because it happened within a few weeks of being repotted from the nursery.

The comment about the graft makes sense. I'd never considered it because I didn't see any obvious scaring from being grafted, but then again I don't know a lot about Adeniums yet. It seems much more likely that, that would be the case since I haven't come up with a suitable answer on my own.

On the topic of hand pollination, this has to be the hardest plant I've ever attempted it on. All the anatomy is so deep and hidden. I've watched a lot of videos and read a lot, but still don't fully understand it. I'll keep trying though.

I really love that dark pink with the deeper dark throat of the flower. I have been wanting one like that for a while. Lucky find!

Thanks Kirk. I'm trying to get it to produce seeds. If this happens I'll post and gladly share some of the seeds.

White one is finally blooming again. White flowers are 2in (5cm) my red one is much larger, its flowers are normally 4in (10cm).

Nicholas, So beautiful. I keep looking back at your second and third photo w the deep burgundy/wine colored flower. What I would give to have it. So fantastic.
