You can delete a response, but you couldn't delete or edit the original post. Now I don't see the option for deleting or editing the original post, so do tell me Oleg... how do you delete or edit an original post? The option was there after posted, but is not showing up now several hours later. Maybe it's just not available on the mobile version, as I use my phone a lot for posting and just got on the computer last night.

In the upper right corner has a button to edit \ delete. I click it and edit or delete and then I click a button submit. And I did just now.

I only use Computer without a mobile phone.

Ok Oleg, I am on my computer and have included a screenshot of this thread with my original message. Please tell me where the edit/delete button is for my original message because I only see the option to delete responses ....see grey oval. Right after I posted, there was an option to delete, even after I submitted the message, but it's gone!

In Your screenshot I see the options to edit and delete. It is your choice - to remove or edit. Therefore, select and press the corresponding word. And then we act accordingly - or edit or delete them.

As for the attempts of your method: No, I have not tried that, because I not see these options in my browser picture.

Sorry, I did not quite understand the word " original post".
This is apparently the first post in the topic? But it seems I had edited, but not deleted. I'll try in the future.

Mystery solved! Houzz responded that you can edit or delete an original post (eg, a new question or the start of a new thread), but once someone makes a comment (enters a response to a post) the ability for the post-er to edit or delete the original post (first message in the thread) goes away!

Now everything is clear. Thanks.

I don't know if this helps at all but on the Canadian Exchange we were told that the posting /delete option was "time sensitive|" and was available for about an hour after posting whereas you are able to edit a reply to a post for about a weeks time .Hope that helps you.

Houzz's response to me was that the option was open until a response to the post was submitted and then it closed. Maybe on average, responses are posted within an hour.
