I am concern about the finish paint. Is it noticeable when the paint come off once u can see the brown wood under? Are they shiny and fingerprint on black paint? How do you clean them?

Hello, thanks for contacting Houzz. The Black Hardwood Dining Chairs have a matte, black painted finish. They are not distressed in any way. The paint should not come off unless they are damaged or worn quite excessively. They should be cleaned with a damp sponge and warm, soapy water. I hope this is helpful!
