Large playroom- multiple rugs?

We have a large playroom that we want to use for multiple purposes (TV watching area, areas to play with toys). Would it be weird to define the areas with multiple rugs (same design) in varying sizes- a large one I TV area- smaller ones in 2-3 other areas so kids have soft place to play?

If that's what you like, go for it. I have several of the same area rugs in my hall and kitchen for my dogs who slip on the tile. I just happen to love this specific rug so I went with several of them. Pros would probably say it's a design faux pas, but I love it and it's my house!

What type of rug are you considering. Something very subtle like a solid or stripe I might not mind if they were exactly the same. But generally speaking I would prefer they were complementary and not identical.
