Problem with Moruga! Mixed answers!

last modified: 11 years ago

Hi all, I bought a Trinidad Moruga Scorpion at my local farmers market from a friend of a friend. It was doing real well and then the leaves started to turn yellow, it started getting these little holes or burn looking spots, and just stopped growing altogether! I have been trying to research more and more and just finding different answers for what sounds like the same thing, I have even seen pictures on some of the posts and it looks the same in a lot of them I saw. It has about 5 peppers that were growing and they were a bright green, then they started getting like a brown color on the top of all of the peppers, now they are started turning back to green. So far, I have seen advice saying to treat with lime if the ph is low (which I tested with a cheapo digital tester from ebay and I am getting 6-7 with the occational 5.5) or epsom salt to raise the magnesium without raising the ph, I have also saw someone getting told that they over watered it (it was raining here in Illinois like crazy for a bit, I started taking the plants in and watering them myself). Honestly I am lost and don't know which way to go, I just don't want to add something in and make it worse, and I can't afford to get any ph testers from menards or anything until 2 weeks from now. Any help would be appreciated and thank you in advance for any help.
