Monogram or Thermador Refrigerator

does anyone have experience with Monogram (GE offshoot) appliances? Our fridge broke down in the middle of remodeling our kitchen so looking for a new one.
Thermador is our other option but Monogram is cheaper - can't seem to find many reviews of their products online. Any insight (on Thermador or Monogram refrigerators) would be great. Thanks!

We just completed a kitchen remodel with a Thermador package. We went with the integrated french door fridge. I cannot say enough good things about it! It is so solidly made, the hinge system is amazing (for a completely flush look), it is very quiet, and it keeps food very fresh for a long period of time. I am also a big fan of filtered ice. Any way, I hope my 2 cents helps!!

Threarmador french door and columns (separate units) are excellent units made at the same factory as Gaggneau/miele units. Threader s/s units are made by whirlpool and are probably pretty equivalent to monogram..both of these do not have dual refrigeration systems.

I'm not really sure what model the OP is looking at but I have a Thermador 30" bottom freezer single door refrigerator (neither french door nor column) and it has dual compressor and dual evaporator.

    And do you like it?

I'd look at something other than Monogram for a regular built-in model. Their fit and finish isn't up to par with the competition , yet their prices are.

The Monogram line of Fully Integrated fridges and wine units that are made in Europe are very nice though, as well as being a bit of a bargain for a high $$$ fridge.

We love everything about our fridge with one exception - in the 30" model, there are no deep produce draws (both drawers are full width and shallow). That's not an issue with the 36". We love the heft, the hinges, the lights (love the LED lights!). It's very quiet too.

Malba2366, if I am looking at a Therm Integrated bottom freezer with a single door on top, where is that built?

The Thermador does have a dual compressor. We made certain before we bought it. It really keeps food fresh for a long period of time, also.

sf - the key word here is INTEGRATED or Freedom Collection. This does not apply to the T'dor "built-in" made by whirlpool which also has a single door , bottom freezer - known as an over/under.

Actually I'm pretty sure all the Thermador bottom mounts are made in house. Whirlpool did make side by side built-ins for them, but those are now gone.

You're right hvt ! I forgot they dropped their built in lineup.
