It's a plantlet that has formed in an unusual place. It happens from time to time, but not often. I've only seen it once in the past 5 or 6 years. Treat it like any plantlet and separate it from the mother leaf when it's large enough and plant it in its own pot. All trailing violets begin as a single crowned plant like any other violet. They quickly begin to develop extra crowns though leading to their trailing habit. If you left the plantlets and mother leaf together in the same pot you'd end up with an extremely crowded environment in which none of the plants would live up to their full potential, so it's best to separate them.

Thank You so much. More questions. Where are it's roots? 1/2" one way is the mama leaf & 1/2" in the other is the mouse ear sprouts that formed at stem base in soil. This is the same on both varieties. I also spotted this happening on a 'Ma's Melody Girl'. I usually start with a 2" stem that's rooted in water then put in soil about 1/2 way down & it develops sprouts in about 1 month. I get cutting ma leaf off but will it develop roots in the air or should I lay it down to touch soil at some point for it to root? These sprouts are very healthy & small forming a couple of itty-bitty leaves at this point. Any more insight will be greatly appreciated. I wish I did pictures but I'm not that tech equipped yet.
