Thank you Carlamcguire. Fox Brothers did a distressed white wash to the brick fireplace. Each brick is hand painted to appear worn so some of the bricks are painted in small areas while others have a heavier coating.

The built-ins look great painted white...an excellent way to update the room. Even if people don't like the look of the built-in cabinets, they are extremely useful. What house doesn't need storage cabinets and open shelves?

The fireplace doesn't work for me; just too much contrast between the white areas and the darker areas. I so prefer the new fireplace to the original version, just think it might be have looked even better with more of the white on the brick. A nice update to the space
