Black and brown question

I have a traditional dark brown leather L-shaped sectional, but our new apartment is very contemporary and we want that style. Can we add a contemporary black leather chair that could go well with the couch or what details should be added to help make the living room more modern/contemporary/hip? Thank you!

Since you like the contemporary look any accessories like pillows, rugs, lamps with pops of color. Some of the cool industrial pieces of wood and metal could work to pull it together. I don't know if I would introduce another leather color but a cool contemporary chair with a complimentary color or pattern could work. Check out dot&bo website. Hope I was a little helpful.
