Would this island tip if all the drawers were open?

And how would you get power to this island? Through a leg? Can you put an electrical box in an island with drawers?

I would love to do this island. Even if I can't use the legs, I'd still like to have drawers with an outlet on the side of the island.

No. Not even if the guys who brought if in were standing in them.

Conduit from the floor painted to match a leg would be fairly inconspicuous to provide power. Inspection doesn't care if you have drawers or not, they just want a receptacle in the island so you don't trip over cords plugged in elsewhere and strung across.

Put some wheels on that thing and you may get a pass.

Power would come up one of the legs, usually in a routed channel for conduit.

It would not tip if it was screwed to the floor. These aren't usually movable
