Ah, the elusive red plumeria. That's tricky because reds are on the whole less generous bloomers than the other colors, and not many smell good. Personally, the most fragrant red I have is Rose Red. Kauka Wilder is also a nice coconutty scent.

You can search Florida Colors' website for descriptions, or call them. They're very nice and helpful with recommendations.

I would recommend Rose Red as well. It seems to like heat and full sun. If just has to be reddish then I would go with Gina or Royal Hawaiian.

Kevin's Red is the best bloomer of reds for me and what a great scent. Just now rooting my 3rd one. The other 2 are in pots on the warm deck and over 4 feet tall.

On another thread here Charlotte Ebrert was stated to be one of the best in terms of strong fragrance. Is that true for you all?

It is very perfume smelling. Kimi is very spicy. Jeannie smells like a rose or peach.

Bill, I was lucky enuf to get a Charlotte from Matthew thru George. Opening in a few days, cannot wait to smell her.

I will try to see if the man who got me started on plumerias and is the one I got the 3 from has any for sale. I remember it was his only one and did not take many cuttings from it.

Thank you soo much for all the suggestions - I already purchased Kimi, Jeanne and Charlotte... but Kevin's Red is absolutely fantastic!! I LOOOOOOOVE the color. I looked everywhere on google and can't find it. If anyone has it for sale or can direct me to a location where I can buy/find it, I would really appreciate it!

Rose Red is beautiful! Almost couldn't find it - it also goes by another name - "Salsa".

Rox, If Kevin's Red can be got, please let me know where and when. If not, Would you please put me down in your book if you ever take cuttings to spare? The color is spectacular!!!
