Same Time Different Growth

This two adenium were bought as a seedling (about an inch dia. caudex) at the same time. Both had their main tap root cut off and the difference on growth is clearly seen. Both were planted in a 12 inches dia. x 4 inches height pot and put up in the same area with good sunshine and fertilizer.

Is there any wrong with the second plant.

I am feeding only chicken manure to them.

Tony, the two have different genetic characteristics that make them predisposed to grow in different ways. So...they both look good and growing nicely in their own way. Rick, Martin, and other experienced members could give you a detailed explanation if needed.

Here's an analogy: Our children inherit genes/chromosomes from both parents. Those parents have genes inherited from their ancestors. Thank goodness that we don't all look alike!
