Few shots this morning. Sorry for the not up to par quality of pictures. I was in a rush.

First graft ever of my Triple Amazing Thailand directly onto a root.

Ploy Praky in need of major pruning. The branches are so heavy that I have to keep it wired even after a year.

White Angle in major need of pruning as well.

Beauty Queen finally not showing spotty dots on flowers. Still really considering this one leaving my collection.

Cielo getting a bit too much sun. Not as burgandy as usual and a lot more white.

Another bloom on Tang Dark Blood. I think it's a 4 layered flower. And this one is opening on it's own.

Seed pods still growing.

Kadie, I love it as well. These first two pictures show the day I bought it and the next is a bloom from last year. I must say I much preferred last year and an early this year bloom as it was way more deep wine burgundy. But just like plumeria the colors change with heat, light, and humidity. Just more on some than others.

Tracy, the Ploy Praky is just so top heavy because of the blooms. Probably why they look different. Also maybe a little fading of the pink edging. Here are some shots of it wired, and I just took off a wire to show how bad it droops, and a good closeup of a one branch of flowers.

A closeup. Darker pink are the freshest opened of blooms while the lighter are a couple or more days old.

And a couple more of Tang Dark Blood this morning for a bonus. Two different blooms.

Kirk, looking good. Your Ploy Praky has always been a favorite of mine.

Have you done any grafting this summer? Not too late now, is it?

Thanks! I really enjoy Ploy Praky as well. The only grafting I've done so far is of my Electric Plasma seed grown. I was trying to wait to see what the other seed grown would bloom like but am getting impatient and am debating doing some more grafting. Right now is still a good time to do so in my area. Right now Houston is still breaking the record for consecutive days in a row that it hasn't broken 100 degrees F. If if the record stopped it would have been a couple days ago. Heat wise, this has been our mildest summer. I attribute a lot of that to that month of rain after Memorial Day weekend.

Great blooms, Kirk. What's going on there with the Ploy Praky flowers? They are different, could you get another pic perhaps this weekend so we can see the flower better? Sorry to be a pest but it is quite unique looking.

Yes, isn't it something how the flower color changes somewhat according to its immediate (micro) climate. Still very fond of Cielo no matter what "mood" she's in.

Bragu, I may do that. I can root the cuttings if I decide to keep Beauty Queen going.

Kirk, thank you for the close ups of the Ploy Praky. It looks like the blooms show up in groups, this is really cool. I love the leaves and blooms on your Cielo.

Thanks! And here's a couple of pictures, this morning, of Tang Dark Blood. The blooms are more on the spent side with a bit of fading of the black but at least it shows the potential when it has a full head of blooms.

Ah, Pagan, you did see my TDB. I'd asked on your thread before seeing this.

Marie, I can not wait! after these blooms are gone I'm going to do a heavy pruning

to get it going. I think it needs to be shortened a bit. I'll root some of the cuttings but

if I can get my hands on an adenium from Home Depot like your haul then I can graft

some of them as well.

Kirk, call around and check on other HD. Good luck.

Yes, if you wait until the blooming season over, you cut down and have full plant in about 6 weeks. It will look very full and pretty for next bloom season.

My HDs have not been having ANY plants this year, but need to check them out again. With a Lowes a couple of blocks away from HD, HD tends to defer somewhat to Lowes - which also is light [read that insignificant] on DR. Then again, it is end of season.

Love that Tang.
