my first seedlings been transplanted to 4 inch pots after 40days, only the chosen 12 been transferred, and traded 10 seedlings for my 50 pounds fishchar that ill be adding to my soil mix in the future,

and my 10 inch tall pots, transplanted some more seedlings to it, just to see whats gonna be the outcome, the bigger seedlings are KO seeds, arabicums, somalense, and the rest were arabicum classics

my obesum experiments, some leafs been trimmed to see if it will slow there growth, and yes it did slow there growth, all three of them are the skinniest of, and the rest is getting fat 145 days young, now planning to prune them after they hit 6 months and up,

my grafted obesums are still alive after the first tropical storm, now 2 more to go,

JP I love the caudex on the two on the right in the last photo. They are all fantastic of course. There is a lizard in the photo with your seedlings above. I love it! We don't have cool animals like lizards here. It is like a lizard paradise at your place. You can send me the obesums for now to protect ;) I will keep them out of the rain and storm for you.

all my arabs and thai socos spent 7 days inside my LED, all dried out, so its Feeding time with there favorite concoctions....and they gave some explosive growth and they getting fatter as-well

yes thai socos, this will be pampered and will be trained in a natural way, jp style....hand picked by my mentor from the nursery of the grand masters, they grow thousands and only handful are selected, and they sell the unselected ones to public, and sells only the chosen plants to the people who they think deserve it, and one of them is my mentor, they sell it also to those people who joins the competitions,

tracy well not a big nursery, but rathter a small backyard with tons of adenium, and will be selling online and locally thats about it, if everything goes according to my plant

my first 4 trees from my supplier, gave them a haircut today, since the leafs are growing to fast in my care, so thats 2 months, i was planning to do it every 3 months, they got big in that 2 months time,

Superb JP - when you give them a haircut you leave the leaf on at the base but just cut most of the leaf itself off (that's what it looks like in the pic) how come?

yes phil, i just trim the leafs, i dont wanna cut them all the way to the stem to prevent from damaging the stem, if we do it accidentally, you cannot avoid branching on that cut, and form will be unbalanced, and i dont want that to happen to my arabicums, i want them to be symmetrical and balanced at the same time,

Thanks JP Iearn all the time. What's the purpose of doing it though, just for symmetry when you already have the shape you desire?

Pruning the leaves like this Jericson will stunt them and have them grow back smaller. Is this the purpose that you do this? It will let light in, but will have leaves smaller.

Phil, purpose is i don't know lol, i want to see the difference after 2 months and leafs is kinda getting bushy and stems is not getting light, and so that i can see if they are balanced or not,

rick, pruning leafs has tons of debate, its either like the one you said, and some said it will harden the stems because of the sunlight and give the stems an antique look, and some says it will fatten up the caudex, and some says also that it will grow slow, and some will say promotes branches,

for me, i will believe in things after ive done it myself, this is how i teach myself instead of listening to all kinds of things what people says, im not saying they are right or wrong, this is just the way i do things, trials and error, learn from mistakes and fix it after...

I do not know if it is your photo's Sept 8 , but there looks to be a different color to the skin of the trees?

thanks marie, dunno about eating them since they have tons of toxins lol, or i could use there saps and kill these damn birds whose been feeding on my peppers

rick its not the picture, the trees skin is starting to change color, going to there adult hood soon, if i can remember it correctly thai socos skin will start to change around 7 and up from green to lighter color, and arabicums color will start to change from green to greenish brown

my flowers dont last long its either rain will kill it, and if not, the heat will dry them and die, i need to put some shade cloth so that the flowers will stay longer
