Clear coat on the posts....... How did you keep them from turning orange? Smooth side out or rough?

    they are rough sawn solid posts. We let them age for a little bit to get some of the redness out and then applied the clear coat.

    Beautiful color! Not too red/orange and not too gray. Very warm. Do you remember what brand clear coat you used?
