African Violets

Flowers don't open up

I have three African Violets I started from cuttings. They are from the same plant. I have no variety name. They only open up halfway. The one plant has been in bloom for over a month and the flowers won't totally open up. I didn't change anything. Why do they refuse to open up?

Sometimes flowers on a much younger plant do not open totally. That should change as the plant matures.

Are you doing any fertilization ?

No, I haven't. I'm about ready to compost them. I had great luck in the past for two years starting cuttings from the same plant. Now they seem to have morphed.
