I believe
what you may have to settle for is any one of number of cultivars associated
with what some now refer to as the Agricultural Group of canna cultivars. For
anyone following this thread they want to check the following Wikipedia link

Many of the
tall growing cultivars with small flowers are in the ballpark.

Canna musafolia

Canna
purpurea a.k.a ‘Russian Red’

Canna edulis
‘Anchira’

Most of
these cultivars can be grown from seed. The seedlings are not true clones of
the parent but are more closely aligned with what can be referred to as a seed
strain. None of these are now considered specie cannas under the most recent
canna taxonomic revision.

The
cultivars in this group are/were use as animal feed or starch production
primarily.

Thank you kent, for the information, I do apologize for the delay in responding. I'll be obtaining the Canna musafolia for the same purpose, but was interested in the Queensland following some older information. Thanks agian.
