You gotta be patient with palms. They are never gonna be the fastest growers in the grove. I have three tall Queen Palms (containerized in Zone 7a/NJ) Two were good to go for the 2015 growing season. But one suffered spear pull and I was convinced it was a goner. I pulled out the dead, mushy spear and did apply some Hydrogen Peroxide. Today, I noticed a new, green spear emerging! I was elated. Moral of the story, giv'em time before for carry them off to the compost pile!
