I would put Hostas. They can handle anything.

Day lilies are a hardy perennial that will flower every year. With the variety of height and color available, you can have a colorful, happy front garden from early summer to fall. I’d add some colorful azaleas to the portion in front of the house for more color as well.

English lavender, Iris, Tickseed, Blackeyed Susan, Day Lily, Coneflower and Mums. Plant flowers that bloom at various times and those that attract pollinators. Visit a reputable nursery for advice.

Where do you live/what zone are you in? What direction does this face? How much sun does it get, at what time of day? Is there irrigation here? What height above the ground is the window? What is the soil like (best to have a soil test). Do this homework and then go to a very good private nursery & see which clerks are knowledgeable. Otherwise it’s a crap shoot
